DR. CHARINA LYN REPOLLO

Dr. Charina Lyn Amedo-Repollo is a physical oceanographer, currently serving as an Assistant Professor and the Deputy Director for Research and Development at the Marine Science Institute, University of the Philippines. Additionally, she is one of the Balik-Scientist awardees of DOST-PCAARRD and heads the Physical Oceanography Observation Laboratory. With a Ph.D. in Oceanography from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, Dr. Amedo-Repollo specializes in coastal and island circulation, ocean monitoring, high-frequency radar remote sensing, hydrodynamic modeling, and climate change dynamics.

Beyond academia, Dr. Amedo-Repollo is actively involved in public outreach endeavors, utilizing her expertise through invited talks, workshops, training, and media engagements. Her commitment extends to research, mentorship, and advocacy, where she strives to advance our understanding of the ocean while advocating for its conservation.
