DR. SU WAI MON

Dr. Su Wai Mon is currently a research fellow (Oceans Law and Policy) at the Centre for International Law (CIL), National University of Singapore (NUS). Su is also a 2024 Blue Security Fellow of the Blue Security Program at the La Trobe University.
Prior to joining CIL, Su was a senior lecturer at the University of Malaya’s Faculty of Law and a research fellow at the Malaysian Centre of Regulatory Studies. She has also worked with various institutions in Malaysia, including the Maritime Institute of Malaysia, the Malaysian Maritime Law Enforcement Agency, and the Academy of Sciences Malaysia.
Su’s research focuses on emerging technologies and maritime security, cybersecurity in the maritime domain and submarine cable governance.
